I think the media, intentionally or not, has done a frighteningly good job of convincing young voters that presidential elections are about the candidates themselves, as people, and they’re really, really not.

listen. people are impermenant. in 15, 20, 30 years, they’re going to die. the longest either of them could be president is 8 years, which is just. nothing, really. but you know what lasts a lot longer than the actual physical person who’s president? their POLICY.

i’t has been 100 years since tr sat in the Oval Office, and his foreign policy STILL influences ours. the media wants you to think that you’re voting in a person, like a popularity contest, but what you’re really doing is voting in POLICY, that will literally shape America for DECADES

so. don’t be a jerk and abstain from voting, is what I’m saying

All the research in the world: Sleep with your phone completely off! Don’t go on your electronics an hour before bed! Make sure your phone is out of sight when you’re sleeping!
Me: *on my phone until I literally can’t keep my eyes open*
Me: *nestles phone on my pillow next to my head* goodnight my friend
