me: (a week later) omg im so sorry… i saw this when i was in the middle of doing something else and then just completely forgot about it
in 1994 when green day first became famous, they invited pansy division, an openly gay punk band, to open for them for the entire dookie tour knowing full well the responses would be mixed. in 2016/2017, on their revolution radio tour, green day chose only female led punk bands to open for them to help create recognition for these artists in a male dominated scene. this band has always been using their voices for the right reasons and i love them so much for that.

like. buddy. have you ever met a history professor??? i’ve witnessed roughly five (5) separate debates that ended in full-on, hoarse-voiced shouting matches and at least one (1) fistfight
All historians are just angry, salty, bitter people who hate people long dead and fight about headcanons.
My priest: Translating the Sermon to Spanish made me think of how some Greek words take four or five English words to get their full meaning. When Bible translators look at that, they have to paraphrase, which imposes bias. Then fundamentalists take those words literally. Can you imagine how many people that has hurt?
