A bunch of things about John Egbert that make him my favorite character but people never seem to remember about him:

• He likes green and suggested Jade wear blue, initiating their color switch.
• He thinks he’s stupid, but he’s very good at math and problem solving.
• He likes rabbits.
• Matthew Mcconaughey is his favorite actor, not Nic Cage.
• He likes doomsday movies.
• He’s the first quasi-canon trickster character.
• He befriended his denizen when he was told to kill it.
• He is admittedly unsure of anything related to biology, even that of the ecto variety.
• He is thoughtful and does nice things for others.
• He is uncomfortable with issues of romance and thinks dating is dumb when there are issues like staying alive to deal with.
• He likes to talk about things like sci-fi and he thinks about the philosophy of the game sometimes.
• His character is tied to the Norse doomsday.
• The things that hurt him most are when his friends’ jokes go too far.
• In the Alphaverse, he was abandoned by his sister and tormented by )(IC for most of his childhood.
• In the Alphaverse, he grew up to be a  famous comedian.
• He has a natural inclination to stay calm when horrible things happen which is a trait present on both sides of the Scratch.
