a cute way to do this if youre already on speaking terms w the person is write a short letter? like be chill about giving it to them and what u actually write and recognize that theyre just a person. but if u really admire someone and fangirl over them you could do this thoughtful thing for them and make their day (or week or whatever lol) it could also improve your relationship w them if they didnt know you thought they were that cool

fangirling irl: i feel like my comments would be kinda typical but i can share like a 2 sentence story. the other day my friend uploaded a youtube video of him being like “hey this is my youtube i plan on posting stuff” and it felt so weird. it was kinda cool to watch but also kinda creepy? it felt almost like an invasion of privacy, but he posted it to twitter for everyone so it wasnt. i saw him the next day and being around him felt normal but thinking about the video was surreal

i guess if you fangirl over someone irl (someone you know and spend time with?) then you should just tone it down around that person (and with others). like its flattering to hear that someone admires you (how you handle things in general or maybe like a specific talent) but it crosses a line when you go overboard. its like hearing someone has a crush on you. its neat but if you dont have interest and theyre like “have my babies!” its like wtf. thats hypothetical but u know
