Porn is as hard to write as other fic, equally demanding and frustrating as other fic. Maybe even more so, because it’s your kinks and sexual fantasies, something very private, you open up to others. And the authors want to hear your thoughts on it so, so bad. But still there’s a trend that smut, even very popular one, gets less reviews than other fics.
Dear reader, I get that it can be a bit embarassing to say “this made me horny” or “the scene where X did the butt stuff was hot”. I get it. But the author will REJOICE in that and won’t ever, ever judge you for it (they wrote that shit in the first place!). So get past that embarassment, and let them know you loved it. If you don’t want to have the porn you read connected to your account (which is completely understandable) – log off, comment on anon. Or add a pseud to your account that can’t be traced back to your and comment with that. In any case, comment.
