dirkjohn week day 1: meet cute or AU 

i’m bad at making decisions and also at meeting deadlines, but here’s my first day of djw17!

john is a deceptively successful twentysomething, who just bought an old, creepy victorian on the very edge of town near the deepest part of the woods. he moves in and immediately starts getting haunted (shit falling off the walls, pictures getting hung upside-down when he looks away, the tv turning to, weirdly enough, the anime channel when he leaves the room).

he uses his hard-won lifetime of paranormal knowledge and follows the disturbances to their source – the attic – and meets the house’s ghost, a (frankly overkilled) scene kid named dirk.
